Dear Professor Beltramini,

I was delighted to receive your kind e-mail, and especially to know that you would like to make my article available to your students. I downloaded your Italian translation and shared it with an Italian relative! Well, he said that it is quite elegant! So of course I am pleased to give you permission to use your Italian version of the article in any way that will be useful to you and your students.

It would be a pleasure to meet you on one of my trips to Europe that include Italy. Actually, I am planning a week's vacation in Venice in mid-March next year. I don't know if it would be possible to meet, but perhaps we could at least have a telephone conversation.

Best wishes for the Christmas holidays,
