In my opinion the withces's appearance is only an accident; because Macbeth knew that he had to become king; he wanted some positive compliments by king Duncan, so he was waiting to a good news before the witches appearing. But the witches only may be an image in the Macbeth's mind: perhaps he was so ambicious for the power that he imagined the witches's appearance like a supernatural sign. | |
