2. Postocolonialism includes a vast array of subjects. It mainly focuses on:
- the need in nations or groups which have been colonized to achieve an uncontaminated  identity;
- the relations and the effects of racism;
- racism or history of genocide, including slavery, apartheid and mass extinction;
- the relationship between postolonialism and feminism.

3. The quotation refers to cultural identity matters of colonized societies. As a matter of fact the main problems were/are: the dilemmas of developing a national identity after colonial rules; the ways to develop and celebrate cultural identity by writers; how the knowledge of colonized people was useful for colonizer's interests.

4. It can be said by definition that postolonialism is a period of time after colonialism, and postcolonial literature is typically characterized by its opposition to it. It deals with literature produced in countries that once where colonies of other countries. It also deals with literature written in colonial countries and by the citizens who colonized people as its subject matter. Postcolonial literature includes social, political, economic and cultural practices which arise in response and resistance to colonialism. These are the reasons why postcolonialism is both a literal description of formerly colonial societies and a description of global conditions after a period of colonialism.

5. I don't agree absolutely with Wisker affirmation because he considers only the tendency of postcolonialism literature. Considering postcolonialism only as the practice which arise in response and resistance to colonialism is wrong, in my opinion it can't be considered only the tendency in any literature of subjugation marked by a systematic process of cultural domination through the imposition of imperial structures of power. I think that postcolonialism writing is also something different.

6. Orientalism by Eduard W. is considered a seminal text because it is the first time in which the themes of postcolonialism are expressed.

7. Power is considered a key word in postcolonial studies. It can be considered in two different ways that consequently imply two different reasons. Power can be considered like the strength of colonies in the act of being colonized. On the other hand it can be considered like the ability to write and communicate. Resistance is a key word because it was an essential condition to survive. Identity is also important because it was the need of colonies to achieve an uncontaminated culture.
