M.Virgolin - Analyzing the video "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud"

Video: I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud
Task: answer the question: how did the producer convey the idea of I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud?

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud (video)

The video is a cinematic representation of the poem "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" written by William Wordsworth.

Whereas the poem suggests a warm and sunny atmosphere, the video seems to be set in winter (the trees don't have leaves and the sky is covered by clouds.

The main theme of solitude presented in the poem is suggested by the producer by representing a woman (who is the protagonist) all alone walking into a natural landscape. The solitude of the woman seems to be in contrast with the daffodils, which are a group. I couldn't understand how the emotion felt by the poet is rendered in cinematic terms, but it is for sure that the use of certain colors and certain music strongly contribute to convey some emotion rather than others and, in my opinion, all the atmosphere seems unreal and even a bit sad. To be more precise, the use of black and white colors of the video represents the "recollected memory" (Wordsworth says that poetry takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility), and these colors remembrance is something distorted and not clear (on the other hand, when the video shows the protagonist sitting on his sofa, the colors are normal and the image doesn't present any distortion).
