Lord Hendry strongly believes in Beauty, in line to the Aestethics.
He says: "When your youth goes, your beauty will go with it, and then you will suddenly discover that there are no triumphs left for you"; so there's beauty in us only for a short time.
2 What he exhorts Dorian to do?
He exhorts Dorian Gray to live deeply his life becouse his beauty is temporary.
Dorian's beauty will die and gods will quickly take it away.

1 What influence do Lord Henry's words exert on Dorian?
Dorian is very upset after L.Henry's words and he understands that his life and his youth too will end.
2 What wish does Dorian express?
He wants to be forever young, like his portrait.
3 Why is Lord Henry's wish to own the picture consistent with his philosophy of life?
The beautifull portrait of Dorian Gray shows an handsome man who will be handsome forever, it'll never become ugly.

Basil Hallward, the artist who creates the portrait, is killed by Dorian Gray.
2 What happens to Dorian and to the picture itself?
Dorian Gray destroys the portrait with a knife. After that he becomes immediatly old and ugly.

1 What does Dorian hope to achieve with his action? What is its consequence?
He wants to reach peace, but the price is his death.
2 What feelings and thoughts have prompted Dorian to behave as he does?
He lives day by day the remorse for his actions, his crimes. He doesn't understend if he has to confess his crimes or not. So he destroys the picture which steal his soul.
3 How do you think the figure of Dorian is perceived by the other characters in the text?
I think that other carachters consider Dorian Gray as a monster, that's becouse of his terrible crimes.
4 Do you think the writer passes any judgment on the figure of Dorian?
I think no. That's in line to Aestethic movement and O.Wilde's point of view about literature.
