Eveline is a short story that tells about a girl, Eveline, and her problem. She isn’t able to ch’ange her futur.

Now I am going to make the structure analysis.

The short story is organized into three parts that creat the plot.

1- The first part has an introductory function and it is about Eveline’s acts.

    “She sat at the window watching the evening invade the avenue…”

2- The second part provides the reader a lot of information about Eveline’s past. She reminds

    her past and she thinks to her promises to her mother and the situation before her mother            

    died.       

3- The third part is about the conclusion. Eveline isn’t able to make a decision therefore she                       

    stays motionless.
