 Georgian Style

Georgian Style is the name used to the set of Architectural Styles between 1720 and 1840. It takes the name from the first four monarchs of the House of Hanover: George I of Grain Britain, George II of Grain Britain, George III of United Kingdom and George IV of United Kingdom.

It is influenced by Neoclassical modes, Gothic and Chinoiserie (the equivalent of European Rococo) Styles.

It is characterized by proportion, balance, regularity and symmetry.

The most common building materials used are brick or stone. Commonly used colours were red, tan or white.
