Exploring Edward characterization

Edward's features, choices and behaviours are the result of his story. Analyzing his life, in particular his family, the reader is able to justify his mode of being.

His mother is brain damage since he was five years old but he wasn't able to realize hers health condition. At the age of fourteen his father explained him what had happened nine years ago to her mother but, even if he knew the situation, he didn't want to became aware about it. This is the reason why Edward prefers to live together with problems without talking about them than to face problems and to realize them. When you talk about a problem It becomes real and Edward don't want that to happen.

In a certain sense Edward's mother illness has got a negative influence in his life, but it also gives him the possibility to see a good example of father and husband. His father takes care about his wife and their children. It is realy difficult because he has got a lot engagements but however he grew up three children and he works.

In Edward's family nothing is perfect, but the situation demonstrates to him that even if there are problems you can survive and live however.

Edward is clam and thoughtful and he has got a positive code of values given him by his father example.
