"Eveline" is a short story by James Joyce and it belongs to a collection called "Dubliners". Joyce wanted to speak about Dubliner's paralysis that is that the people who had lived in Dublin during Joyce's life were unable to act and make decisions. Eveline is the protagonist of the short story and she represents a phase in life that coincides with adolescence. In this period of life young people are not able to decide about their life. Eveline wants to move from her unpleasant life made of injustices and pain but she is UNCERTAIN. I would like to address this short story to young people because reading this text they can understand that in life is important take decisions, even if it isn't simple and even if they can't be right.
