In the third Act of the first scene of Hamlet written by Shakespeare, Hamlet explains to his mother the differences between his dead father's qualities and the new king and husband of his mother. Hamlet focuses his mother's attention on his father's physical aspect and personality comparing him to Greek divinities and reinforcing his father figure to underline the virtues and the qualities of his father. Later he shows to his mother her husband's portrait but he only criticizes him asking his mother why she married a man like that.
