I am analysing the fourth scene from act third from Hamlet by Shakespeare.

In this scene we can notice the influence of classicism in Shakespeare's works.

We know that during Renaissance classic works, composed by Latin and Greek authors, were recuperated and rearranged.

On Text:

In the fourth scene from act third Hamlet refers to ancient classic gods. In the first lines he compares his dead father with them.

But they belongs to classicism.

Shakespeare decides to associate Hamlet's father with them because he wants to underline mainly the importance of him (great value, good fighter and a man of high reputation).
