When do we meet? In the afternoon and on Sunday.
We help children spend their time doing something useful and creative-and not watching TV. Your child can make a lot of friends at the Children's Club.

THE ACTIVITIES:

-We love helping children do creative activities. We do drawing and painting and when necessary we help children do their homework.
We plan to make calendars and plant this year, two interesting activities that also help children learn about time and seasons, and about basic biology.
-We also hope to make simple food. We don't have an oven ,so we plant to make sandwiches, salads and simple desserts. This helps children learn about nutrition.

I:Dr Harper, are you worried about the popularity of video games with
Teenagers today?
D:A little, yes. If people play video games for just a couple of hours a
week, there's no problem. But when they need to play them every day
for hours, this is an addiction. It's one thing to like playing them,
another to need to play them.
I: So what are the signs of an addiction?
D: If a person stops to go out with friends, this is an important sign.
Look for a person who wants to spend a lot of time alone and who
likes staying at home all day. Another problem is when a person can't
to concentrate. Look for students who stop to listen in class, who start
getting physically agitated and restless quickly. Obviously their
homework and grades generally suffer too.
I: What other signs are there?
D: People tend to eat badly. They try to get away from the table quickly.
They don't pay attention when you speak to them and have difficulty
to make conversation.
I: What do you advise family and friends to do if they suspect an
addiction?
D: I suggest to talk to the person about it, and trying to make them see
the problem. If this doesn't work, I advise the family to make an
appointment with an expert who can evaluate the situation.
