This film directed by Tim Burton is based on a children's book by Roald Dahl. It is set in a chocolate factory and it stars Johnny Depp, who plays the part of the factory owner. The main character is a boy called Charlie. The acting is great and the plot is exciting. I loved the soundtrack, which was composed by Danny Elfman.

Ex. 14 page 109
The trouble with Harry is a film produced in 1955 by Alfred Hitchcock. It is a bit difficult to definite its genre, as it has got both horror and comic aspects. It is taken from a novel by Jack Trevor Story, who is also famous for having written plenty of famous screenplays.
The film is set in America around 1950. In a small country town, a hunter, a painter, a woman (Jennifer) and an old lady find a corpse. They are all worried because they thought they are somehow his killers. Therefore they gather and think about a plan to prove they are innocent. But after a lot of twists all their zeal revealed itself useless...
The actors are very expressive and play perfectly their roles. The soundtrack is very absorbing and is very suited to the scenes. The film presents also some grotesque images. At some points of the plot it is a bit repetitive, but this increases the suspense of the following scenes.
Overall The trouble with Harry is an intriguing and interesting dark comedy. The film is suitable mainly for adults, even if there aren't macabre scenes. The plot is really involving and mixes elements of the horror, the comic and the love film.
