ADOLESCENCE PSYCHOLOGY

Adolescence period goes from the age of thirteen to nineteen. Adolescence develops maximum physical and physiological changes during this period. Adolescents reveal to be nervous and unsteady but also rich in memory, thinking power, intelligence and questioning on most things on which they want their views to be recognized. Emotional instability make them sudden change from joy to tears but also to share feelings with other teens of their group, the feeling of which is at its maximum. Adolescents show ego centered behaviour and are respectful for moral and religion. The five main problems of adolescents are:

- Emotional tension: an adolescent is emotional unstable and wants things to be like he wishes.

- Personal appearance: adolescents are tied up to their appearance and follow the latest fashion and life style.

- Emancipation: an adolescent want to become free and do whatever he wants without his parent's control.

- Economic independence: he needs money but he doesn't earn them.

- Social adjustement: adolescent has to find his place in the society.
