SUMMARY OF ADOLESCENCE PSYCHOLOGY
The adolescent period, or teenage period, is from the age of thirteen to nineteen. During this attain maximum physical development of the internal and external organism. They are completed at the end of this period.
Adolescents aren't stable emotionally; in fact sometimes they are nervous and unsteady when things aren't done as they aspire, but in other moments they are happy too. Adolescents are rich in memory, perceiving things, concept formation, association, generalization, imagination and decision making.
Socially, teenagers want to shine in the group and escape from the family. They follow the fashion because they are worried about their appearance. They want find a love. Adolescents understand the feelings of the others, because they know the different situations. So they share the problems with their friends and not with their parents.
5 PROBLEMS OF ADOLESCENTS:
- Emotional tension: it is unstable because adolescents change mood every time.
- Personal appearance: the adolescent is worried about the appearance with modern and latest life style.
- Emancipation: the adolescent want be free from parental sovereign. He hates control of the parents.
- Economic independence: the teenager still depends economically from his parents.
- Social adjustment: teenagers must adjust to social adjustment outside the family.
