During the last lesson, we tried to discover how literature works and its use of language. We found some literary text writers: Patricia Cornwell, Ken Follet, Bram Stocker ...

After that we found what text analysis is. Analyzing texts allows a more careful comprehension of the text and of its meaning. It  involves understanding and discovering the structure, denotative and connotative language but particularly the layout (organization of the text).

Then we faced  intertextuality. It produces all kinds of texts. We made the example of intertextuality speaking about a silent dialogue between different poems, line devices, characters and narrators in view of something new.

After that we analyzed the style of literary language. It relies on the association that can be made with stylistic choices.

In the end we debated about the phrase: Literature is a network of references. We wondered  which questions increase our knowledge. So we found some questions: What are the key sources? What are the origins and definitions of the topic? What are the key theories, concepts and ideas?...
