DESCRIBING A BOOK

The novel is set in Alabama. It is written by John Green. The main characters are two friends, Miles Halter and Alaska young. It is narrated by Miles. Miles Halter is fascinated by the last words of famous people, he is tired of his life at home. therefore part in college to try his "Great Perhaps", as he said the poet François Rabelais on his deathbed. The school of Culver Creek awaits him, among others, Alaska Young. Intelligent, witty, unscrewed and very beautiful, she drags Miles in the labyrinth of his complicated life, catapulting him into the world of the "Great Perhaps.

The story itself has potential, the mystery that is created by the author about the girl, the stubbornness of the hero. Are all important elements as regards a promising story, in my opinion. But then there is something missing. Missing a bridge, we say. What could join me and the characters, in this case. Maybe I read too slowly, perhaps harbored too many expectations for the book. I do not know well. I do not deny, however, that there were moments when I felt tied to the characters. One thing that I liked the novel is: some thoughts as simple as important and basic, so to speak. It is also a book that I think is perfect for a teenager, it highlights both faces of various medals that can represent some common situations.
