The funeral is a ritual to commemorate the death of someone we loved and to remember him or her indeed at traditional funerals, the purpose of the eulogy is to underline the major events in his/her life. Another function is to support in grief the family of the murder and so became more close with the other people and together reconcile the death.
After the first World War many people lost a child, a friend, a relative and so in all countries they built War memorial to the purpose to commemorate the people who was killed in the tragic war.After the first World War the main intent of war memorials is not to glorify war, but to honor those who have died in the First World War. In history the function of some war memorials was to glorify war because the governments wanted to convey a positive idea of the war because they in the future will have be sure that the army was composed of soldiers who would fight in a war to the country.
After a war the murders can’t have a funeral and to commemorate the death and preserve the memory people built a war memorial. There are official and private memorials, we can find it on the battlefields and in the own nation of those who belong to the conflict.
In the United Kingdom there are many war memorials and it’s rare the village that haven’t got any sort of public memorial.
The National Memorial is the Cenotaph, it is an empty tomb and after its inauguration became a focal point of national grief.
There are also the “Thankful Villages”, that are villages where no one lost his life in the first World War.
The War memorials not only commemorate the death of the men who lost his life in the first World War but there are also war memorials that was dedicated to the animals that lost their life in the war.
