TESTO SUL LIBRO (snow goose and other stories)

I read 'Snow Goose and other stories'. It is written by Paul Gallico and it is organized in three stories named 'the snow goose', 'the doll', 'the silver swan'. The stories have three different plots and three different emotions.

The fist story tells about a war, it is set in England in 1930 and the characters are Philip and Fritha. Philip has a physical deformity and so he has isolated from other people. But one day a girl, Fritha comes to his lighthouse to ask information about a bird. He tells her about a bird and when the bird comes to the lighthouse, Fritha comes too, but when the bird doesn't come she doesn't come too. Fritha falls in love with Philip and Philip falls in love with her. In 1940 Britain is at war and so Philip must leaves with bird her and his house to save some soldiers but one day the bird comes to the lighthouse without Philip and so Fritha knows that Philip will not returns.

The second story tell about a doll, it is set in London and the characters are Dr Amony and Rose. Amony one day, buys a doll for his niece's birthday and he wants to know who makes the doll. He found the girl who make the doll, she is very ill and he knows that her aunt forces her to make the doll and she takes her money. After that, Rose knows that she will die because anyone loves her but Dr Amony falls in love with her, and she falls in love with him and so they marrie.

The third story tells about love, it is set in London and the characters are Dr Fundoby and a girl without a name. Dr Fundoby works in a British Museum and one day a girl comes to him and askes: 'How will I know when I am really in love?' so, the doctor takes her a text for the luckly boy. She takes the text with a boy, Richard who lives near her houseboat. The text is successfuland so she marries him. The book is very interesting and I think is a good book, but I think that the plot are very different and they aren't connected. I don't like it very much because it is very dispersive.
