Some weeks ago my English teacher gave me a book to read.
It is called Ulster Story.
The novel is set in Ulster, a small province of Northern Ireland, and the story takes place during the period of division between Catholics and Protestants.
The main characters are Patrick Connelly and Linda Murray. They are two teenagers: Patrick is Catholic and Linda is Protestant, they fall in love. Their love isn’t possible in a place where there is division between Catholics and Protestants.
The story tells about the impossible love between this two teenagers that belong to different cultures.
At the end the love will triumph.
The message conceived by the novel is that love always triumphs, and cultural differences can’t overcome feelings.
