The simple narrative style makes the novel pleasant to read and the reader is encouraged to read more and more to know what happens. Beside that, some sentences seem to be strained to be emphasized and sometimes to sound even ridiculous for whom does not like this kind of novel.
Similarly, right from the start, a fundamental decision as the one of leaving, seems almost to be taken lightheartedly, alongside it would involve a radical life change; this coarse default threatens the credibility of the whole novel, besides it is aimed to tell the intimate story of the main character, the novel paradoxically results impersonal in many parts.
Considering the final, I can not say I liked it, I found it equivocal; it is not clear if she choose to return in the United States because she feels bound to, or if she really loves Tony in the end.
