The reader knows news in the moment that happened and he also knows the felling of the protagonist and the novel became more realism

The narrator uses he chronological order to describe the Robinson’s adventure.

1  In the first paragraph he seems upset indeed the last word of the paragraph was dead. Robinson managed to save his life but his comrades were died and his lucky seems over because he realisethat he hadn’t any food and goods to survive.

2  In the first paragraph the narrator think that he will died in the island that was called Island of Despair, indeed the narrator uses words as “afflicting myself, saw nothing but death before me…”. But in the second paragraph the see of the ship was a so unexpected event and so the register change and use words as “great surprise, I hoped, …”

4  Robinson spend all of his to build a fortification or to look for food.

5  Robinson belong to middle class indeed he is a self-made man.
