At the pier Toni and Eilis hold their hands walking. Both of them were melancholic and silent,nobody talks, they don’t know what to say.

“I don’s want that you leave America” Toni said “ I don’t know what to do without oyu”

“I know” Eilis replaid “ But I have to return back to my mother, she’s alone and I don’t want to leave her alone”

“Yes, I undersatnd, it is the right thin” Toni said “

And then nobody talked, Eilis wanted to say “goodbye” to him but she had no mords, and she started to cry

“Stop” Toni said “ Stop crying Eilis”

“I can’t” she siad “I’m too saddened to leave you”

“ But youare no leaving me!” Toni said “You will return here and we will create a family here, in Brooklyn”

“Would you create a family with me?” Eilis asked sobbing

“Sure, I want nothing else” Toni said “I’m going to wait for you all the time you need, but please. Don’t stay in Ireland too much, I’m here for you”

“Surely Toni, I would stay in Ireland only for a month, maybe two, but nothing more, I promise you”

“Eilis, I don’t want to obbligate you, but I hope that you will respect this promise” Toni said

“Thank you toni, now I have to go” Eilis said

Now both of them were crying, Eilis hugged him and he kissed her

“Goodbye Eilis, I love you and I’m going to miss you” Toni said

“Me too Toni, goodbye”

She left his hand and turned of in the way of the ship. She had gone, and now, both of them,felt alone, even though they are with their family.
