To continue with the content and the effect of Eilis’s brother letter and, last but not least, the consequence of Father Flood’s opinion were the two character are showed in action. Every elements bring at Eilis’s choice to leave America.  Right from the start of the protagonist's phone call with her mother, the reader notice that it is all written though the showing technique used by the narrator to convey Eilis’s and her mother’s incredulity about Rose’s death. Then, the protagonist tells the tragic fact to her boyfriend, Tony,  who begins to be scared of an hypothetic departure of Eilis, being always more clingy enough to ask Eilis to marry him. The most important element who cases her need to leave is her brother’s letter which convince her to the necessary to come back because of it tells her, her mother’s depression.
