THIRD PERSON IMPERATIVE – TEST 1, EXERCISE 1
Read what you must or mustn't do at school. Make imperatives.
1 You must listen to your teachers. → Listen to your teacher!
2 You mustn't be noisy. → Don’t be noisy!
3 You mustn't cheat. → Don’t cheat!
4 You must sit at your desk. → Sit at your desk!
5 You mustn't be late. → Don’t be late!
6 You must write tests. → Write tests!
7 You mustn't bully your classmates. → Don’t bully your classmates!
8 You must pay attention. → Pay attention!

Rewrite the sentences in imperative. Keep the same meaning.
1 He should have a job. → Let him have a job!
2 We mustn't stop now. → Let’s not stop now!
3 You must go to bed. → Go to bed!

6 She can have a drink. → Let her have a drink!

Rewrite the imperatives in statements. Use the verbs in brackets.
1 Do be quiet. (must) → You must be quiet.
2 Let me finish it first. (would like) → I’d like finish it first.

9 Let them make an experiment. (can) → They can make an experiment.

IMPERATIVE SENTENCES (POLITE REQUESTS) – TEST 3, EXERCISE 4
Use shall we or will you to make the imperatives more polite.
