Two years ago I worked at summer camp. This camp was at my friend Ilaria’s home. Her mum organized it. The summer camp was the second and third week of July. There were 30 children from 4 to 11 years old.

We had various activities: swimming, did homework, play football or volleyball. The summer camp was from Monday to Friday. From Monday to Thursday the children had lunch at home, but on Fridays they had a packed lunch brought from home at the camp. The children arrived at 8 o’clock a.m. and they stayed until 1 o’clock p.m. From 9 o’clock to 10 o’clock they did homework unless they were at school and had no homework, so they had swimming lessons. When they finished, they had a snack. Then they played football, volleyball, tennis or they could draw.

On Fridays when the children stayed longer we held small plays where the children acted. There were also poppet shows and the adults read stories and acted them. Some children played a musical instruments too.

I enjoyed it a lot and I would like to return.
