Antonio e Cleopatra compared with page 97 of Performer

Shakespeare needed to capture the interest and imagination of the audience right from the beginning of the play, introducing conflict that is a system to keep the audience high. Indeed, right from the first scene of Antonio e Cleopatra, Shakespeare gives life to his characters without an introduction and, using language to create interesting situation, he creates a conflict among Antony, Cleopatra and Antony’s followers.

Going on with the scene, Shakespeare tries to maintain this situation of conflict that public like, using short tits for tats to entertain the public.
