Up to  5BSU - BROOKLYN. Studying a novelUp to task document list

A few days ago I finished reading a novel I liked very much. It was really interesting, the work I’m referring to is “Brooklyn”by Colm Toibin, and he is a famous Irish writer. The story is told simple and clearer. It invites reading.

The novel presents hot issue immigration in the fifties. The working in Ireland was scarce so you had to try and create a life in America. This is precisely Eilis’s story.

The main character of the novel is Eilis Lacey. She must go to America for crated a new life. The girl decides to leave her family (her mother and her sister Rose) to make money to help there.

However inn Brooklyn the girl find much more than a job but that I will not want to reveal.

The novel raises emotion, indeed when she arrived in Brooklyn she felt really alone. The new country is very different from Ennyschourt.

In a few words the book I liked a lot, I have not really found criticism indeed is a book that I recommend to everyone.
