5a/5b/5c. You have two days in New York and you can only do three things per day. Choose places to visit from the article.

The first day I would admire the Statue of Liberty and go jogging in wonderful Central Park. In the afternoon I would go to the New York Aquarium to see the penguins and seals.

The second day I would look the Metropolitan Museum of Art and admire the amazing painted ceiling at Grand Central Station. In the evening I go in Washington Square for look the shops and see the musicians.

The last day I would visit the Empire State Building and in the afternoon I visit St Patrick’s Cathedral and I go to the new City Stadium for eat the hot dog with mustard.

 

6. Write a 3-day guide to a major city in your country. Choose three places for each day. Use the article about New York to help you.

Start your visit to Venice with a trip to the Basilica of San Marco. It is the main church of the city, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the seat of the Patriarch.

In the afternoon of the first day we’re going to the Grand Canal, it’s the principal canal of Venice. Along about 3800 meters, it divides in two parts the old town drawing an "S" from the intersection of the Liberty Bridge to St. Mark's Basin. And in the evening we’re going to walk in Piazza San Marco, which is one of the most important Italian squares.

In the second day we’re going to visit the Ducal Palace: a building that is located in the monumental area of Piazza San Marco, between the square and the Doge's Palace pier. It doesn’t remain the ruins and it was built around 700. And after lunch we going to Murano: it’s a town in the Venice Lagoon, located in the north-east of Venice and consists of seven islands.

And then in the late afternoon we’re going to the Rialto Bridge is one of the four bridges, with the Accademia bridge, the Scalzi bridge and the bridge of the Constitution, which cross the Grand Canal.

In the third and last day we’re going to the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice are a state museum, which contains the best collection of Venetian art especially connected to the paintings of the period from the XIV to XVIII century.

In the afternoon we’re going to visit the Theatre La Fenice, located in the district of San Marco in Campo San Fantin, is now the biggest opera house in Venice. And we’re going to visit The Clock Tower, a Renaissance building in Piazza San Marco, too.
