"Empress" is the title of a woman who is either a ruler of an Empire, or married to one.
"Queen" is the title of a woman who is either a ruler of a Kingdom, or married to one.
There are 2 types of Queens - Queens Regnant and Queens Consort.
- Queen Regnant is someone who reigns in her own right; she became Queen by virtue of her birthright and because she was next in Line of Succession.
- Queen Consort is someone who became Queen by virtue of her marriage to King Regnant; she was not next in Line of the succession and does not reign.

1. That it was an empire in contact with other cultures.
2. That the Victorian age was an age where religious was important.
