“How is the language used so that it can express the real points made in the extract?”

I think the writer uses questions for example “how could you be sure that Hasina was not simply following her fate?” The use of questions makes the reader think about how they feel about marriage and fate. The writer also uses short sentences and very direct language to make their point about marriage. Instead of using description to set the scene, the writer uses action and speech to show what Nazneen’s marriage is like.

Also at the end of the extract proverbs are used, for example “any wife is better than no wife” and “something is better than nothing”. These proverbs represent an opinion about marriage because this is how Nazneen’s husband feels about her.
