Winter

The poem consists of three stanzas with five verses each.

Reading only the title the reader might think that the poetry tells of the winter season, going ahead with the reading will have the certainty. In fact, the poet in these verses is describing the classic winter landscape: the sky is a cloud that provides snow, the air is cold, the branches are bare, the sun does not shine like in the summer, the night comes quickly and in the houses the fireplaces are lit.

Taking a more detailed reading one can think that the image of the robin singing in solitaire could be a metaphor to indicate the loneliness of the poet. This sense is compared to winter, which causes a feeling of sadness.
