Yesterday I visited York and I spent a really good time there. It is situated in North of England –only two hours far from London by train.

York is a really famous city because it’s a really popular tourist destination, particularly known for its’ historic sites, architecture, shops and restaurants.

I recommend to visit the Cathedral of York Minster, the National railway museum and the JORVIK Viking Centre, also you can sail the beautiful river Ouse abroad on the York River cruise and have lunch on board –it departs at 12 pm and returns at 3,30 pm.

The local speciality is the York ham, but you can also have some good coffee at the Betty’s Café e Tea rooms –it’s a must for every visitor!

In York there’s also a big city centre with all the shops  known but there’s also the Shambles, one of the York’s oldest streets with lots of curiosity shops. You can find more info on www.visityork.org
