Comparison between Pamela and The journal

Pamela’s letter is a complete different style and genre from The journal. Indeed the letter tells about Pamela reporting what’s happening to her and it has a sad and angry theme, instead the journal is structured day by day and tells what Robinson Crusoe does every day to try to stay alive, so this diary has an adventure but stressful theme.

But all the differences considered both of the texts rotate around the same function, the one of reporting. Pamela reports what’s happening in her life and so does Robinson Crusoe and they both tell something that isn’t seen every day and by reading this extracts the reader can feel the struggle and the complications of the protagonists.
