Giulio Regeni was an Italian Cambrige University graduate who was abducted and tortured to death in Egypt.

He was a Phd student researching Egypt’s indipendent trade unions and a former employee of the Oxford analytica

He grew up in Fiumicello in the Province of Udine in the northeast Italy

His half-naked corpse was found in a ditch alongside the Cairo-Alexandria highway (February 3, 2016)

His body showed signs of extreme torture: contusions, abrasions, bruisings, two dozen bone fractures, seven broken ribs, numerous cuts, cigarette burns, broken cervical vertebra wich caused death

He was tortured for seven days at intervals of 10-14 hours before he was finally killed

24 March, 2016 Egyptian police killed four men who were responsible for kidnapping Regeni.
