How to write an argumentative text

In the present text, I am going to explain the methodological path to write a fluent argumentative text. I am going to proceed by explaining the proper organization in paragraphs of the argumentative text, having each one its function and the way to be more cohesive and coherent.
First of all, the main body of the text starts with an introductory paragraph in which the writer states his or her thesis about the argument treated and the way he or she will move forward.
Secondly, it is important to refer to the subject of the discussion and state quotations that inspired the discussion.
Afterward, it develops the argumentation by a sequence of paragraphs dedicated to the arguments in favour of (pros) and their examples or explanations and the arguments against (cons) with examples or explanations.
In order to have a cohesive text, paragraphs should be introduced by connectors to link the ideas in a unified line of reasoning, also according to a logical thread.
Last but not least, in the conclusion are drawn the results of the discussion with the writer's considerations and the reassertion of the thesis.

Example from Model Essay of smART SKILLS by Andrew Betsis and Maria Evangelidou page 63

It is clear that the rapid development in technology has brought an equally destruction of our natural environment

with far reaching consequences. (THESIS)

To start with, technology has obviously improved our standard of living by providing us with lots of conveniences and benefits in many fields such as science, medicine, work, education, telecommunications, and entertainment.

(PROS AND EXAMPLES)

However, I would agree with the argument that technology has been destroying our natural world since the population explosion and the growth in industry have produced a great amount of waste products. ( 1 CON)

These harmful products which cause air pollution have undeniably damaged the ozone layer and the Earth’s climate and created the rise in temperatures. (2 CON)

Furthermore, the growing urban areas have caused the destruction of the natural habitat of wildlife, disturbed the balance of the ecosystem and led many spices to the point of extinction. (3 CON)

Emissions from aircraft use, also are very harmful to the environment and the increase of air travel had made aircraft

pollution a serious environmental problem. (4 CON)

Concluding, I strongly believe that we should all use technology in a more responsible way if our world is to survive. ( PERSONAL OPINIONS AND RESTATEMENT OF THE THESIS)
