Three months later (March 2014)

-How and why secondary characters relate to Connell? He relates with Yvonne because of his psychological disease

-What’s wrong with him? A disease connected to his friend’s suicide.

-How is Marianne introduct in the chapter? Trough a flashback.

-What makes a person jealous? Insecurities.

-How does Connell expresses his jealousy? He plays irony focusing on comparison .

-What is the main objective of this chapter?

-Why doesn’t their relationship work? Their relationship doesn’t work because they can’t make themselves understood, People have difficulty to be sincere with others –> Dicculty in communication.

• Connell is afraid of his feature because he hasn’t clear and definite ideas so that he is hopeless because is Marianne’s departure as a result he lose his point of reference.

   

• In a male character is particularly interesting analyzing body language that’s the reason why men don’t talk that much as women.

   

• New concept of time,not linear but simultaneous time→what is it like? It includes all time existing all together in ones mind in the present

   

• Marianne is a way of survivor for Connell.

   

• When you talk about a character you have to find out how the writer present him.
