-What is the time of the day? It is afternoon almost in the transition between late afternoon and the beginning of the evening.

-What are they doing? Connell is watching a football match on tv and Marianne is getting bored.

-Why are Marianne and Connell also talking about the first part of their relationship? They are trying to make a balance in their relationship, so that they refer to the first step of their relationship.

• The setting is similar to the setting of their first intimate meetings.

   

• The topic is their considerations about the developing of their relationship.

   

• Marianne always looks for Connell’s attention→ so that it creates a sort of dependent behavior.

   

• She still be interested in Connell, she’s jealous and she’s trying to understand Connell’s feelings,and he is assuring her.
