THE PHOENIX AND THE ALBATROSS

It is a sunny but windy day in Maslak, a small town near Istambul. Sanem is talking about her novel called “the phoenix”. First the director frames on Sanem,then he frames on Can and focusing his attention on his details, in particular on his hands. Then the director return focusing his attention on Sanem’s novel, and doing a forefront on its title. The music gradually change: from a melody music that suggest a sense of nostalgia and sadness, to a stornger music that remind to reality: infact the director wants the audience focus their attention on the shift from ideas to relity.

Can finally lands in a small port. The director focuses his attention only a bit on Can. Infact he immediatly returnes to Sanem. Meanwhile she is presented her novel, she remember when she and Can met each other. They were at dinner together and Can was describing how they met; Can infact was passed from an emotional voice to a lower one. Immediatly after Sanem is reported to reality thanks to her friend.
