“The Albatross and the Phoenix”

Üsküdar is a small town near Istanbul, popular for his bright colors and the blue ocean surrounding the port. A young man is docking in the port. Just back after a long journey along the Italian coast, he needs spare parts for his yatch. Indeed he has had some problems during the navigation. His name is Can: he is built and fit, has long hair and ana big tattoo on his chest. To tell the truth he looks like a wild man. He wears necklaces and charms and iis looking for a sailors’ shop around the village.

Sanem is in town too, launching her first novel, called “The Albatross and the Phoenix”. It is her great love story with Can. She feels she is a modern Phoenix: she really would like to be reborn like the mythical bird. In that case she would be able to rise from her own ashes, the ashes of her tragic love story.

She is young as is Can. She has long black hair and her skin is of the honey colour; she wears an exotic-styled dresses, necklaces and charms that make her look like an interesting creature in comparison to ordinary girls. She recalls Can for many reasons, his clothing included.

The two young guys seem to have just returned from a holiday in an Eastern country but indeed their paths have long been divided.
