In this text I’m going to describe the director’s choice for every scene.

First of all I’m going to analyse the first episode and every character. 

In the first scene the director wants to show the beginning of the girl’s day.

The girl works in a supermarket and since he wants to make it clear that her actions are habitual the scene gets a very quick rhythm.

After that the director introduces the girl’s dreams. It is clear that he wants to focus the audience’s attention on the her imagination.

In the second scene a boy appears.

His body language is unusual and impulsive, he scares her, while the girl’s body language suggests that the girl isn’t attracted by him and is getting bored.
