Martin Luther King Day is a USA National holiday on the third Monday of January, that celebrates the life and achievements of Martin Luther King, an American civil rights leader. He’s known for his campaigns to end racial segregation on public transport and racial equality in the United States. We remember his most important speech “I HAVE A DREAM”. Martin Luther King Day is a public holiday for the population. It’s seen as a day to promote equal rights for all Americans. He died in 1968 and began a campaign for his birthday to become a festival to honor him. It was approved in 1976.
