At first Connie and Steven were classmates but they didn’t like each other.

In the meantime, Connie asked her stepsister to be her bridesmaid.

  1. No, “finché” in inglese non è seguito da negazione. Un’altra differenza è che in inglese si mette il verbo al presente, mentre in italiano si usa il futuro
  2. Benedetta deve usare “in case”, poiché significa “eventualmente”. “Eventually” invece è un false friend che ha il significato di “infine”.
  3. Si può usare “because of”, “owing to” o “due to”, dato che tutti e tre hanno il significato di “a causa di”.
