(page 36) Exercise 1 Two years ago I went canoeing with my uncle in a big lake in Valle d'Aosta. The canoe was a one sit one, so I had to go alone. It was my first time canoeing and I was a little scared, since we were in a lake, I was free to go wherever I wanted. This lake was super big so it took me a while to reach the centre, but it was worthy. I just sit there for a long time watching the mountains and the fish, it was sunny and the water was calm. I really liked that day.

Exercise 6 The other day, I was going to school with my sister. It was rainy so we really wanted the bus to come. As soon as it arrived we jumped on it craving for seats but it was already full! We had to stay up during the whole trip, it felt super frustrating.
Exercise 7 My sister and I had to take a train for a concert, our plan was to buy the tickets at the train station. As soon as we got there we realised that the ticket machine was broken! We didn't know what to do, we tried and ask for help, but none of the people we met had a solution. At a certain point this kind woman walks towards us and asks if we wanted her tickets, she told us that she had a date with three other friends but all of them ditched her last-minute. We then decided to go to the concert with her and she really enjoyed it!
