In 1962, US President JF Kennedy promised to moon before 1970. It was seven more years before NASA figured out how to do it. In July 1969, when time was running out, three astronauts carried out the historic mission on board Apollo 11. American astronaut Neil Armstrong opened the hatch and became the first man to walk on the moon. In Houston engineers who were on duty at mission control breathe a sigh of relief when they saw Armstrong step onto the moon. All over the world, people were watching  TV and they cheer as they heard Armstrong say his famous words: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Armstrong came up with his famous words after landing on the moon.

  1. Space exploration is very expensive - we should solve problems on earth first such as poverty and starvation. — I don’t agree, because I think knowledge can’t have limits, even for money.
  2. The earth’s population is growing - we will need to live on another planet. — I agree, because I think it’s a great idea.
  3. We need space exploration to answer big questions: are we alone? Are there other forms of life out there? — I agree, because I want to know the answer to these questions.

I was four years old and I was in kindergarten when I learned to read. It was really strange because, even if there was a little library, nobody used to read the books. One day, when I was learning how to write my name, I spontaneously learned how to read. From that day it became one of my favourite hobbies.

The year was 1969. I was twelve and I was in the classroom. The Science techer came in. We had a Science test that day I was getting ready to begin, when, all of a sudden the teacher told us to stand up.
“We are going to the lab” he said. We were
really surprised! Our Science teacher never changed his mind! But he said it was a special day, so we went to the lab.
there was a TV set in a lab. The teacher switched it on. Just in theme to see the firsan on the moon! When he switched on, astronaut Neil Armstrong was opening the hatch.
First, he descended a ladder and he started walking around. After that, astronaut Aldrin joined Armstrong on the surface, and we heard him describe the view with th phrase “Magnificent Desolation!”.
it was great, but
in the end the Science lesson finished and we had to return to our classroom. However, I’m so glad the teacher allowed us to participate in an event I’ll never forget. And, most important, that’s how I became interested in space travel.

When I got on the bus, it was very crowded and I couldn’t find a seat.

It was almost one year ago, and I was going to school.

I usually took, and also take, the bus at 8:07 in the morning to going to school, with my two best friends.

It was a sunny day, besides this, it was a bad day anyway.

I was standing on the steps in front of the anterior bus door.

Unexpectedly my mobile phone fell off my pocket, and crashed on the ground.

The screen was broken.

I think it was like I broke a mirror, because I’m still paying for the seven years of bad luck.

I was at the luna park and I was twelve. I was there with my friends, Giulia and Sara. It was a little bit cloudy and windy. We decided to try a new carousel and it seemed very dangerous, because of this I didn’t want to go on it.

In the middle of the route, suddenly, the carousel stopped, and the speaker announced a damage. We stopped at a very high level of the carousel, and I was a little bit scared.

One hour later, the carousel started working again, and we could go off.

At last it was over and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Marley&me is a film based on a novel written by John Grogan, and it’s based on a true-life story.

The director is David Frankel and the two main actors are Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston.

It’s set in Miami, and it’s about a journalist, John Grogan, who adopted a dog, Marley, after he got married.

Marley is a very spry dog and it always makes a lot of disaster.

During the time, the couple learnt how to handle the dog, though.

It’s a very beautiful story and it’s still my favorite, there isn’t anything that I don’t like.
