My name is Alessia Zoia, I’m 16 years old and I live in Begliano, a really small village in the North of Italy, 45 minutes from Trieste and I am currently attending the third form LSUB of Human Sciences Liceo.

I go to school six days a week from 8:20 to 13:20 and my favourite subjects are Human Sciences, English and Art History. I get home by bus everyday and have lunch with my mother and my grandmother and it’s my favourite part of the day because we share our ideas on different topics and my grandnother tells my mother and me lots of funny stories. I think getting to spend time with genuine and caring people like them is a true blessing.

In my free time I like listening to music, petting my dog, watching tv and going out with my friends or family.

Everyone I’ve ever known said that my personality is really hard to figure out, but that’s because I’m afraid to let my guard down around new people that could potentially hurt me. Luckly I am getting better and now I have friends I know I can trust.

I’m a Pisces so I’m very emotional, empathetic, protective, imaginative and caring, but something I really hate about my personality is the fact that I’m really absent minded and sometimes I get distracted for literally no reason, and even if I am trying to change this it’s still a problem for me.

I love helping others feel better about themselves since I’ve been bullied in Middle School, which led me to be sad all the time. That’s why I would like to become a psychiatrist, but the fact that I’m a very anxious and insecure person makes me doubt if I will ever get the work of my dreams.

I’m still working on becoming more confident, but I will do everything I can to reach my goal.
