In this text I will analyze the behavior and the relationship between the two characters Can and Sanem. To reach my goal I will pay attention to every single moment of the scene and I will try to understand how the director presented the two characters. The setting of this scene is an amusement park, in the evening and Sanem is trying to confess something to Can. The fact that the two are at the amusement park is no coincidence, this choice creates a contrast between the critical and dramatic situation between the two of them and the joyful atmosphere of the amusement park. While Sanem is talking to him about what he did, Can does not leak any reaction, this serves to make the viewer curious and to make sure he continues to pay attention to the episode. During the discussion the director focuses a lot on their body language: she shows her emotions through her face and her voice, instead she is petrified and shows no emotion. From the few words he later manages to say, we understand that he is upset and confused, he doesn't know what to say. From the way he speaks or moves, he understands that he is very angry with her for lying to him. Instead she is very upset because she tries to explain the situation to Can, but Can lets her explain and always attacks her. This takes the viewer to Sanem's side. From this we understand that Can is very rational and does not let itself be carried away by emotions, unlike Sanem which is emotional. The change of scene shows Emre doing ambiguous business for the company and wants to make it clear that Sanem was right and that Can did badly not to listen to her, in fact he calls Emre because he doesn't believe her. Can is angry with himself because Sanem is different from how he thought. Can decides to meet Emre at home to have explanations. Sanem is honest with Emre too because she tells him that she informed Can of everything. |
