CAN’S CHARACTERIZATION – EARLY BIRD

The present extract will provide a description of how Mr. Can is being characterized throught the way he acts and the way he speaks.

First of all, the first thing the reader notices is the way he’s known around the agency: he seems to be a wild man who has nothing to do with the agency, but despite this he’s respected and the way the dependents speak about him puts him in an important position, which contributes to present him as a mysterious character.

The first aspects of his personality come to the surface when Sanem is talking trash about her concept of “boss”, while Can is right behind her: Indeed, he does not replies to the critics but only asks Sanem for her name, which describes a reflective and not impulsive personality.

Moreover, all what he says is short and incisive and this means he’s always sure about what he says and doesn’t need to spend too many words to express himself. Such considerations confirms the expectations the people around him have at the beginning of the extract.

The second part of the extract, the meeting, is incredibly important because it underlines his self-confidence and a typical “boss” personality, for example when he asks for tea and he rejects the different options her dependent shows. To conclude, the way the employees adress to him is highly important to define someone who has to guide a company, an agency, a group of people who have to be guided.
