Analysis on Normal People’s chapter: (Three months later)

- What is the subject? Connell
- What kind of room? A psychological world attend by Connell because he felt depressed.
- What is the reason why he felt depressed? He explained his personal problems to a person
- What are the narrative strategies? 3rd person narrator that speaks from Connell’s point of view
- What does the narrator want from Connell? He seems to privilege description: break of narrator
- Connell is not at ease with himself: What creates this impression? He feels uncomfortable because he cannot find a properly seat or fill -  out the pages on its surface (p.200)
- TINY TEAR: emotionally involved
- TO RESONATE: risuonare
- TO ALLARME: dangerous instinct
- “Because he feels it: its syntax seems to have organized into him” creates a close intimate relation with language
