Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton is one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers, very often compared to Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher for his immense talent and a palmares full of victories: he won six world championships, the last one this year.

Lewis was born on 7 January 1985 in Stevenage, England, by Carmen Larbalestier and Anthony Hamilton, who divorced when he was 2 years old.
In the following years he lived with his mother and two stepsisters, and then settled with his father at the age of 12 with his brother Nicolas, also a pilot.

Ever since he was a child Lewis has shown a great passion for engines, probably born when his father gave him a remote-controlled car, and an unusual character: his parents have always described him as very curious and lively, hyperactive and with the constant desire to learn and get involved.
However, when he got on the kart and wore a helmet these qualities turned into determination and into an irrepressible desire to win, which allowed him to risk overtaking where it was impossible for anyone.

Growing up Lewis has gained great confidence in himself and his abilities.
But he has always remained humble and loyal to his opponents, establishing a friendship with some, such as the Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel, despite being recognized as one of the most popular and influential athletes in the world.
However, there is no lack of criticism of the pilot who is very often accused of being arrogant, but accusations that almost always arise from people envious of his fame.

The 35-year-old Englishman, in addition to being an energetic person and totally focused on his sports goals, which he pursues with commitment and constant hard work, has highlighted many other features that make him truly unique.

For several years he has been engaged in a campaign to safeguard the planet, practicing a mainly vegan diet and moving inside the paddock, instead of using petrol transport, with a scooter.
Lewis is also a great lover of animals, in fact he owns two bulldogs, both adopted to save them from serious illnesses.

Lewis loves mundane evenings, so much so that in addition to well-known sportsman, he has also become a media figure present at many fashion shows, and doubling for example also a character from the Disney movie "Cars".
The pilot has for some years started a partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, producing his own line of clothes.

Despite this, he has always been tied to his roots by tattooing them on his body.
He is infinitely grateful to his father for having always followed him into the sport, even having four jobs because of the high costs involved, to which he dedicated a tattoo on his left arm.

He is also very religious.
He firmly believes that his talent comes from God, and for this reason he usually prayed before every competition ; besides having a cross tattooed all over his back with his motto "Still I rise".
